The Government of Saskatchewan has expanded the ability of pharmacists to offer more care to patients. Upon completion of training, select pharmacists will be able to offer strep throat and ear infection services at approved pharmacy locations.
Eleven pharmacies have been selected to provide strep throat and ear infection assessment and treatment, including rapid testing for strep throat. Thirty seven additional pharmacies have been chosen to offer ear infection services only.
A total of 48 pharmacies will be participating and locations can be found at the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals website.
